Hi there, thank you for dropping by! My name is Tahseen, and I’m a Master in Public Policy (MPP) [Data and Research Methods- Track] Student at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
At Harvard, I have worked as a Teaching Assistant of Professor Jim Waldo in his IGA 583 Technology, Privacy and the Transnational Nature of the Internet course and have been actively involved in AI, machine learning and computer science research and MIT-Harvard AI hackathons.
Before coming to Harvard, I graduated as top 1% of my class with a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Development Studies (Concentration: Economics and Public Policy) from the University of Dhaka. During my undergraduate years, I received two prestigious academic awards, won a national development competition, and published research on labor markets, economic outcomes, and the intricate dynamics of politics and policy.
Outside academia, I co-founded Dumpy, a clean-tech startup where I served as Chief Business Officer (CBO). Our goal was to modernize Bangladesh’s decades‑old scrap aggregation industry through innovative, tech‑driven solutions. In addition to my entrepreneurship roles, I’m also the co-founder of The Confluence which was Bangladesh’s first English-language policy blog aimed at globalizing the nation’s policy discourse. I also serve as a student politician of the former ruling party of Bangladesh (comprised of 5 million youth activists) where I’ve advised policymakers and contributed to both domestic and international government initiatives.
